My Trailer!

I'm not satisfied with this trailer or even with this project. At the beginning, my partners said that the important thing of this project is the web. The movie is just for symbolic purpose. I am the project leader but I stand alone against their decision. I, myself do love making movie and I want everything to be perfect. What would I do if they do not want to do as what I expect? 3 to 1 huh?. We should do our best despite they are just the small things and not important. But they have a part in the success of the project.

Anyway, this is the first and the last also, I would not work with them anymore. They do not have seriously working attitude.

A unsafe situation!

I do not know what I am going to post this week, because of a unsafe feeling in my mind for my presentation (Individual Research Presentation-IRP) which is going to be happened next week on Wednesday. I have experienced a lot presentation before, but this time I feel worry about it so much. Really!!! It is because I have doubts about what I'm going to talk about, although I have talked to J.Miller - Lecturer.
Everytime I do not have any idea for my assignment, I feel very uncomfortable. I could do any thing untill the idea is found out. In these holidays, I just stay at home and think of my presentation.

There is changes from timeline!!!

Normally, We have done everything as video, pictures, all the stuffs for the website and we have been dealing with the web now. Unfortunately, as a project leader, I could not set the time the group meet together. I tried my best; however, my partners could not "obey" me. It dued to they have other assignments waiting for being done. I could see their feelings, but they should take some times spending for this project at least, thought it was not same as what I set the timeline. I was so disapointed with this group. There were many conflicts between us. We will spend next whole holidays for working in this project, it couldn't be helped.

Basically, the video and sounds have been done.

Sample website (cont)

As I mention before that my project is about promoting for a detective movie. Because of having death scene in my movie, kind of horror genre. It is also my favourite genre and I want to search websites relating to my purpose. Here is another website that I found for discussing this week.

This website has very nice interface. There are some differences comparing to the sample website being posted last two weeks. Apart from the wallpapers, users are able to download pictures from the photo sections also with very sensible and nice resolution. Unfortunately, It does not have the music section (soundtrack) so that user can listen to it.

Trailer (reference)!!!

We're making the trailer for the movie so we need to reference some trailers. I have bought some DVDs and researching online. This is the sample that I found.

Sample website!

As a Project leader, I need to have the ability to manage all the multimedia pieces to make sure that everything is good at the finished product. Basically, most promoting movie websites includes main sections such as trailer, gallery, about the film, wallpaper for downloading, news. Besides, there are also some websites providing some extra sections like music, behind the scene video clip, etc. They are all made by flash so the quality of those multimedia pieces somehow are not good.

Here is a website that I referenced for my project. The homepage consists of the poster, the trailer and some links leading to another website so that the users can download the required programs for viewing the content. The main section of this website is a flash file. All information is presented in this flash file. Users need to enter the website for viewing those information. Well, the interface is okay. However, users could not download the photos when they want. They just could view with the low quality images. In download section, if user want to download wallpaper, they need to click on the offered text button. It will link to another page in which have no button for backing where users are currently. Also, it happens in the "Behind the scene" section if users want to view clips. This makes users feel like it is not easy access. They have to minimize all of those pages for viewing the main page.
This is going to be considered when I am dealing with my project.

One week of art work!

Soundtrack for our project!!!

I have created a soundtrack for my project that is a rock song. It has created by using the Garage Band software in Mac. I have made it accidentally while I was playing with the Garage Band without thinking that I could make a song. It is because I have never experienced music theory before. I was playing for a while and then it worked. I arranged composed music tracks from the computer until I thought it's fine. Then I decided to put it in my project for the film. Here it is! Enjoy! Set up the stuffs!

My group has chosen the idea for the project already that is building a website for promoting a film. That means we have to make a movie. We don't have any video cameras at all. Luckily, I borrowed a video camera from my friends yesterday. But we need 2 more so that we are able to make the movie more professional and comfortable . I would like to share to you here, it's HDC camcorder.


It's type of product for family using, it's not a professional one. However, as what I have tested it that it's enough for us.

It has 2 filters that are ND2 filter (I guess it is for making the light softer) and UV fiter. It's cool!

Hi guys! The new semester has come and I'm very exciting and ready to join hands with all the new tasks, especially the course DIM3. In this semester, I'm studying about how to manage a project working as a team. We take role plays as in the real life. We also have comany, clients, etc as we are a real professional company that cooperates with the clients. It's interesting! I take a role as a Project manager, pretty hard here. I am a little bit worry if I could complete my mission at good. This is a new challenge for me. Enjoys my blog and see how I'm gonna do it!!!
